AL1212P28GBaud Single-Channel Linear DML Driver

AL1212P is a high-performance linear driver for Directly Modulated Laser (DML) operating at 28Gbaud symbol rate, to transmit 56Gbps serial data under PAM4 modulation. It takes a differential input of 300mVppd – 600mVppd to provide a differential adjustable output current of 30mAppd – 60mAppd. The typical power dissipation is about 0.4W for the output current of 40mAppd. The driver IC has a built-in peak detector providing monitor signal for automatic power control loop. The driver is packaged in a compact 4x4mm surface mount package, which integrated the high frequency coils for biasing the driver and DML.
